Did you know the Passive Entry System includes a lock check function?

Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles equipped with Passive Entry have a button or a touch-sensitive area on the door handle. Pressing the button or touching the passive locking sensor will lock the vehicle.

You can confirm the vehicle is locked by trying to open the door using the door handle within three seconds of locking the vehicle. This is the checking period.

If the door handle is pulled more than three seconds after the vehicle is locked, the system will detect the presence of the key and the door will unlock and open. This is normal operation of the Passive Entry System.

Customers will want to know about this convenience feature, now available on many Jaguar and Land Rover models.
