Jaguar’s first all-electric vehicle will be easy to charge either on the road or at home. The number of public charging stations in the U.S. is more than 40,000 and growing, but most charging takes place at home – that’s like having your own private gas station.
Easier still, JLR is developing a program designed to help customers install chargers at home. Research shows that home charging a vehicle costs about the same as operating an average central air conditioner for around six hours, for a cost per mile that can be less than half the cost of gasoline, depending on where you live.
Adding to the convenience, an InControl Remote app will track the charging – and can help customers reduce costs further by charging during off-peak hours for the best electricity rates. Prospective customers will want to know all about this ultimate electric performance SUV.
